Salt caramel; our donut chef makes the caramel regularly in our kitchen and it starts with melting organic sugar in a saucepan. He adds our special vegan fake butter and organic coconut milk to the melted sugar, and its a somewhat tricky process. What you have then is combined in the 20qt. mixer with powdered sugar for a silky rich topping that we then sprinkle with large sea salt crystals.
Happy to say that we finally opened our shiny new kiosk at the Ferry Building marketplace this past Thursday, and its been a whirlwind week of learning new things. Our 100% Organic line of Vegan Cake Donuts are joined by new Raised Donuts on the shelves at this location. Donuts are priced at $2 each and up, and there are "Mix Packs" of six Donuts for $13.50, 2 Mix Packs for $26. Also, expect new and interesting flavors to be found as "kiosk only" specials!

OMG! Its been a busy week at the donut factory-
As of a few months ago, our mix has been officially certified organic by the USDA.
Organic Vanilla is now used in all of our Donuts and Glazes. Thanks
